Jungle grapes

One of the new fruits I have come to apreciate here are called "Little grapes" (although they are not little) or "Jungle grapes".

These Uvitas or Uvas de Monte (the names in Spanish) grow in a big tree, not a vine, look a lot like regular grapes.

They are green and dark purple in colour and very juicy and sweet.

They only have on big seed, more like a pit in many ways, in them.

You cannot eat the skin because it's harmful and also very sandpaper like in texture.

While eating you need to be careful and peel the fruit so you will not end up with a bleading toungue.

Although the fruit is well worth a little bleading.
