This is the second part in the series to Organize your life to make sure you won't burn out
1. Turn down the stress
Usually we use give stress as a word a negative
connotation.
But in reality stress is a physiological and emotional
state and if it does not exist, the person is not able to function at all.
The right amount of stress helps the person to be at
his, or hers, best.
But too much stress cripples and in long-term will
cause a burn out.
Coping with the stress is knowing how to control the
amount and duration of the stress, not eliminating stress for good.
The most important thing is to seriate the stress, not
live in a constant stressful state.
Disconnect and connect
Find your own way to break out and disconnect from the
thoughts and activities that cause you stress, both daily, weekly and yearly.
In today’s world a lot of things that stress us out
are related to the technology.
Spending time without different electronic devices and
communication is one of the easiest ways to disconnect and turn down our stress
levels.
Another very effective way is interaction with other
people.
Talk about your worries to another person, who is
there, physically.
Listen to their worries, and share time together with
them.
Just being close to another person can be very
significant in lowering your stress levels.
Sleep
Sleep is also invaluable in turning down the stress.
People, who manage their stress well, sleep well.
Prioritize a good night’s sleep to the highest level
in your own life’s order and do whatever is necessary to get enough rest.

This is the perfect advice for every professional who is working for more than 12 hours a day! :)
ReplyDeleteStress stress stress. We've all got it and we all need to live without it. Good advice!
ReplyDeleteI definitely will be taking this great advice. I work a full-time job and work my direct sales business. I need a vacation!!
ReplyDeleteAre these your own photos or stock photos...never seen anyone use cardboard as a splatter guard before....
ReplyDeleteits important to de-stress,hence why I blog
These are my photos, Michael. I usually only use my own pictures. The cardboard and other creative solutions are very common in Ecuador.
DeleteI love your pictures. You have some very good advice here as well. I agree sleep is very beneficial to nearly every aspect in life especially invaluable in keeping stress levels down.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice. One of the biggest things I taught myself was to not worry about things that I had no control over and to do my best to think positive of a situation. If I could get the sleep part down I'd probably be good :)
ReplyDeleteI think the "thinking positively" helps with the sleep also. The insomnia usually comes because we are worried and can't let go of the stressfull things. That is why we need to have faith in that things will work out and allow ourselves to sleep.
DeleteIn my field, stress is the #1 reason for sick leave. I can't agree more that managing your stress levels is important.
ReplyDeleteI dont mind the stress for me ii is all about sleeping problems it doesn't matter if I sleep 3 hour or 10 I'm always tired one of the perk of being pregnant.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice, although it's sometimes hard to remember when life gets in the way. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThose are some great tips. I have been getting more sleep lately and it has really helped me.
ReplyDeleteMichelle F.
It’s a rare person among us who doesn’t feel the need to get more organized. I consider myself fairly organized, for example, but there are times when I get a little lax about my organizational rules, and there’s always room for improvement.
ReplyDeleteI find that being more organized make you a lot more productive throughout the day.
ReplyDeleteGlad to read the 2nd part of this post because I loved the first one. Totally agree with you, we need stress to keep us motivated but too much can cause harm both physically and mentally. It is good to learn how to manage stress by being organized to avoid consequences.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed it, Jhady. Some people enjoy living in a stressful state and even say that it enhances their creativity and productivity. For me it's other way around. But it's important that we know ourselves and how much stress we can take and then organize our lives accordingly.
DeleteStress is also related to increased Cortisol levels which leads to weight gain and heart problems. I like the idea of decreasing stress with organization. I know staying organized helps me to feel in control.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, stress causes a biological reaction in our body and the results aren't nice. Also the control is very important, feeling that you are not in control is one of the biggest causes of stress, anxiety and even depression.
DeleteSleep is SO important. Thank you for sharing these tips!
ReplyDeleteLove your tips! It is so important to get that stress managed which so many of us aren't good at doing.
ReplyDeleteYears ago, I attended this talk and learned that stress is part of our lives. There's bad stress and there's also good stress. It's important that we know how to deal with it otherwise it'll get the best of us. And, yes ... sleep is very important. I know this coz I don't like how cranky I get when I lack sleep. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI get really cranky too, Russ. And I lose my creativity. It's a really horrible state.
DeleteThe tips are so true!! Disconnect and connect is so perfect for me
ReplyDeleteThese are great tips, so very important!! It is easy to burn out! :)
ReplyDeleteFor me, sleep is the number one thing that I need to function. I actually need six hours, no more, no less.
ReplyDeleteAlso disconnecting is so important. A lot of us struggle with that one.
Sleep is so important, Kimberly. And even more important is that you know yourself. Knowing how many hours you need to sleep is really the key because it helps so much in organizing your day and making sure you get the rest you need!
