Gospel Friday Countdown

When I first time posted Gospel Countdown Friday post in the comments I was told about new performers.

New for me, because they had been performing for quite some time, I just hadn’t heard about them before.

I listened to the suggestions.

I know I have heard similar music in radio, online, in TV and it the movies.

Gospel music is part of the global culture.

But the names were new for me.

And once again, I fell in love.

The sound is so magnificent and the way the singers give everything on the stage to honor God speaks to me.

I hope you will enjoy one of these new friends that I encountered.

Friends for my ears, brothers and sisters in faith.

5. It shall come to pass: Hezekiah Walker & The Love Fellowship Crusade Choir

I have prayed many times for something to pass in my life.

And one thing I have come to understand is that this too shall pass.

All I have to do is to be patient.

4. Faithful is Our God: Hezekiah Walker

God is always faithful.

Even when I falter, when I am unsure, He is faithful.

I can always trust Him, always.

3. Hezekiah Walker-God Favored Me Ft. Marvin Sapp And DJ Rodgers

I know that God has favored me when I think about my story.

I know, even though when I was hurt and felt alone, He was with me.

I know, even though it seemed I could not overcome my troubles, He was with me.

I know, because I am here today, that God has favored me.

2. Oh Lord, we praise You: Hezekiah Walker and LFCC

A bit of familiar rhythm, this certainly makes me move around.

And it is so true, Lord we praise You.

God, You deserve our praise, every day, every moment.

Let me praise You!

1. Grateful: Hezekiah Walker

I am grateful for so many things you have done for me.

I am grateful because of you I live.

I am grateful because of you I want to live and have joy in my life.

I am grateful because everything I have, everything good in my life, You have given to me.

“If the only prayer you said was thank you, that would be enough.”
― Meister Eckhart

    1. Sometimes it is hard when things don't go the way you want them to, whenever that happens to me I try and make a list of what I do have to be thankful for and then can rest in the fact that the future shouldn't be worried about there's enough stuff going on in the present to look after!

    2. One thing I have learned in my life, or two things. Sometimes things don't happen and it's better for me. And if something is to happen and God wants it to happen, it will happen but I have to learn to be patient, because only He knows when is the right time.

But I've never thought of having them listen to gospel music. Since they are both in orchestra, I think they would have a true appreciation for it!
