God rules, now what?

God’s rule, as He reveals it in the bible and as we can read it from there, challenges us to worship and praise Him.

It is important that we dedicate part of our time with God to worship Him and thank Him.

Worship is important because we remind ourselves and others of the reality that our God rules,

No matter what the reality around us says.

Or even if it makes us doubt that fact.

God’s rule also challenges us to complete obedience.

The obedience to an almighty God is most of all obedience of heart.

Attitude that rises from acknowledging God’s rule and respecting it.

10 We ask that your kingdom will come now. May your will be done here on earth, just as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10 Living Bible (TLB)

Kingdom is the Key

Even though we acknowledge God’s rule we can be hurt by the reality around us.

A realistic and honest person has to ask, does God really rule this world.

And even though, I claim,

Whenever you ask this question, it is because God wants His good Kingdom to burst visibly into our lives.

In Lord’s Prayer Jesus makes God’s area of rule very concrete.

God’s Kingdom will come where God’s will is done as it is done in Heaven.

19 Therefore go and make disciples in all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and then teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you; and be sure of this—that I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”

Matthew 28:19-20 Living Bible (TLB)
In Heaven the Kingdom exists perfect.

But we live in a world where we can often, or even most of the time, see the opposite of God’s good will to happen.

So our experience of God’s Kingdom is twofold, it already exists, but it does not yet exist.

But we cannot passively sit down and watch if God’s Kingdom comes already.

In Great Commission we have been accredited and obligated the task of  continuing Jesus’ work.

Declaring His Kingdom with words and deeds.

  11. This is a beautiful post Joanna and amen to God rules. He is Soveriegn and is actively running the universe. Can't wait for the time to come that there will be no more sin and Christ is in complete ruling as a King and everybody is bowing down to Him. He is a King now but there are people who does not acknowledged Him yet.
